The 7 Days Tanzania Big Five Safari is meant to take you to the famous national parks known to home these African big five animals (lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos and buffalos). These are Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, lake Manyara NP and the mighty Serengeti National Park.

The safari is accompanied by great views of endless savannah grasslands, different bird species, plants, butterflies and more. Have an option of visiting Arusha city where places like museums, local markets, art and gallery centres and more. The game drives will be the only activity where you get to enjoy the beautiful wildlife sanctuaries.

Detailed Itinerary

Day1. Head to Tarangire National Park

Be picked up from Kilimanjaro International Airport in Arusha and Transfer to Tarangire National Park home to the diverse wildlife. This park is ranked as the 6th largest national park in Tanzania known for homing large herds of elephants and also large migration of wild animals during the season into this park.

This is because the Tarangire River where the name of the park originates is the only source of water for wildlife in this great protected area. Arrive and embark on a game drive where you expect to meet animals like wildebeests, elephants, gazelles, zebras and hartebeest, buffaloes, lions and more. Head to the lodge booked.

Day2. Game drive and head to Lake Manyara

Have a morning game drive in the park which will be spent watching over different wild animals and birds. After returning for breakfast at the lodge followed by a drive to Lake Manyara National Park. This is another amazing destination on your safari where you encounter the rare tree-climbing lions, leopards, zebras, warthogs, leopards and more. Arrive and if time allows, take part in the evening game drive before checking in the accommodation.

Day3. Game drive and head to Ngorongoro

Take part in the morning game drive where you have a chance to spot monkeys, elephants, lions, giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, African wild cats, spotted hyenas and many more. After lunch, head to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and hike to the summit of the craters to get a clear view of the surroundings. Head to the lodge for a great overnight stay.

Day4. Game drive and head to Serengeti NP

Take a game drive in this protected area which can last for about 5 hours. This great adventure allowed you to explore the beautiful scenery, and wildlife including birds and mammals, Crater views and more. Expect to meet animals like elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, rhinos, zebras, wildebeest, cheetahs, bushbucks, bush pigs and more.

Head to Serengeti National Park the most visited national park in Tanzania due to its great host of wildlife. Check in the accommodation facility booked for your dinner.

Day 5 & 6. Adventure in the park

These two days will be spent in this great national park taking part in game drives and hot air ballooning tours. There is a lot to see as you penetrate the interior and different animals and birds like buffalo, Elephant herds, Antelopes, Warthogs, Zebras, magnificent Wildebeests, Giraffes, lions, hippos, crocodiles, cheetahs, leopards and more. During the hot air ballooning tour, explore the beautiful aerial view of the park.

Day7. Head back to Arusha

Have a morning breakfast which will be followed by a great transfer to Arusha. Be dropped at the airport and this will be the end of the safari.
